Learn Who We Are

  • Dr.
    Sean Adams

    Dr. Sean Adams earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, where he was an All-American track athlete, before attending Roseman University of Health Sciences, graduating with a Clinical Excellence Scholarship. He went on to receive an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and completed a highly rigorous Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his residency, Dr. Adams received advanced training in restorative dentistry, endodontics, surgical procedures, sedation, and oral pathology—allowing him to provide comprehensive, high-level care with confidence and precision.

    Following residency, Dr. Adams and his family spent three years serving military members and their families in Wichita, Kansas. While there, he served as the clinical element leader and head of sedation for the medical clinic, completing more than 200 sedation cases. His leadership and dedication to patient care earned him multiple Officer of the Quarter awards at both the squadron and group levels, as well as the Air Force Commendation Medal for outstanding service.

    Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Adams and his wife, Kaylee—who grew up just up the road in Loveland, Colorado—are excited to be raising their children, Lennon, Beau, and Goldie, in a community they proudly call home. Outside the office, Dr. Adams enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, hunting, and making lasting memories with his family.

  • Danielle, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

    Danielle will be by your side along with Dr. Carmen. She lives in Longmont and has a fur baby named Sadie. Danielle loves camping and boating in the summertime and the beach during the winter months. She loves to travel and hang out with friends at outdoor live music venues. The one thing that Danielle enjoys most is spending time with her almost 4-year-oldgranddaughter, Neveah. She keeps her G’ma busy and laughing every weekend!

  • ​Jackie, ​Sterilization Technician/Junior Dental Assistant

    Jackie can be seen helping just about everywhere in the office! She assists the hygienists, and is in charge of keeping the instruments organized, and loves educating our young patients about their oral health. Jackie plans to pursue a career as a dental hygienist

  • Josslyn, Patient Care Coordinator

    Josslyn will great you as you enter our office. She grew up in North Platte, Nebraska, and moved to Colorado in 2021. She enjoys swimming and running. Josslyn hopes to become a Dental Assistant in the future.

  • Patience, Patient Care Coordinator

    Patience works at the front desk and enjoys being in such a positive workplace! When she’s not at work, you can find her reading, watching movies with her family, and listening to vintage records! Patience loves to talk about old music and movies! She plans on pursuing a career in Forensic Psychology!

  • Maria, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

    Hola! Como estan? Maria will assist Dr. Carmen during your visit. She loves to speak Spanish and is tutoring Dr. Carmen! Maria just celebrated her 33rd year in dentistry. She raised her children, two daughters and two sons, near where she grew up in Erie; but now calls Firestone home. Outside of the dental office, Maria likes to spend time with her family, exercise, and salsa dance. ¡Ella te ayudara a mantener tusonrisa sana y hermosa!

  • Pamela, Registered Dental Hygienist

    Pamela started her career as a dental hygienist following high school. She grew up in Fort Collins where she and her husband reside with their airedale, Brooklyn. She has two grown children, and three grandchildren. Pamela and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends. Some of their favorite activities include golfing, camping, boating, paddle-boarding, traveling, going to festivals, and listening to live music. Pamela feels she chose a rewarding career and is very blessed to be working alongside such a wonderful dentist and team!

  • Mia, Registered Dental Hygienist

    Born and raised in Longmont, Mia brings a love for music and the outdoors to our practice. When she’s not keeping smiles healthy, Mia likes to go paddleboarding and fishing; but also like to snuggle up with her husband and son for a good movie night at home! Be sure to check out her podcast TOOTHBYTES on Spotify for dental hygiene school tips and stories. Mia continually gives back to our community by volunteering with COMOM and TeamSmiles. While she listens to a variety of music, Mia is a diehard Michael Jackson and Fleetwood Mac fan!

  • Penny, Registered Dental Hygienist

    Penny started as a dental assistant before becoming a hygienist years ago. She enjoys working in a family oriented dental practice, and the camaraderie of the team here at Berthoud Family Dentistry. Penny is married and spends much of her time with her four grandkids. Penny is a published author, writer, and a speaker. She loves gardening, interior design, and doing crafts.

  • Sandy, Registered Dental Hygienist

    Sandy enjoys working for a family oriented dental practice. Dr. Carmen loves and treats her patients as family and that is what drew her to Berthoud Family Dentistry. Sandy attended the University of Colorado where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in dental hygiene. Sandy prides herself in developing rapport with her patients and educating them so that together they can plot a course to a healthy mouth. Sandy and her husband Mark have two sons. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors—skiing, fishing, hunting, camping and boating. She loves to watch her boys and their teammates in their different sports--football, baseball, wrestling, and basketball.

    Sarah grew up in a suburb of Kansas City. She has nieces and nephews that she adores! She doesn’t have any kiddos but has a fur baby back home! She’s worked in the healthcare field her whole life and has been with Dr. Beckwith for over a year! She enjoys painting, taking photos of nature, and also loves going to concerts!

  • Stephanie, Patient Care Coordinator

    Stephanie is a Colorado native born in Fort Collins. She is a devoted wife, and mother of two daughters. Her ideal vacation is anywhere on a beach. She loves horses, date nights with her husband, and her morning coffee. On her days off, you might see her volunteering in the community and catching up with a friend over lunch, or maybe taking a walk with her girls on a sunny day. She likes working in the dental community, because she loves to help people smile with her 20 years of experience, she knows a good laugh and a good smile is just what everyone needs!
