At Berthoud Family Dentistry, we've always believed that great dental care should feel comfortable, not clinical. From your very first phone call to the moment you leave the chair, our goal is to make sure you feel heard, respected, and genuinely taken care of. We're a comprehensive practice, which means whether you come in for a routine cleaning or something far more complex, you'll rarely need to go anywhere else. Dr. Sean Adams brings a level of dental training and clinical expertise that's uncommon in a general practice setting, and he's surrounded by a team that's been serving this community for years. This is a place where people know your name, and that's exactly how we want it.

Meet Dr. Sean Adams
Dr. Sean Adams grew up in San Diego as the youngest of six kids, always in motion, always outdoors. He was the kind of kid who loved figuring out how things worked, which eventually led him to Brigham Young University on a full Track and Field athletic scholarship, where he earned 1st Team All-American honors and began studying Mechanical Engineering. It wasn't long before he found his way to dentistry, a field that combined everything he loved: precision, artistry, and the chance to make a real difference in someone's day.
He went on to earn his dental degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences, where he was awarded both a Clinical Excellence Scholarship and the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). After graduation, Dr. Sean entered the Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, graduating at the top of his class. His performance earned him a formal recommendation for specialty training in both Endodontics and Oral Surgery, a distinction that reflects the kind of clinician he is and the standard he holds himself to.
During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Sean served as a general dentist for three years in Wichita, Kansas, and was recognized as Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for both his Squadron and Medical Group. He also holds a Moderate Sedation certification, a Forensic Dentistry certification, and was awarded the Air and Space Commendation Medal. These aren't just credentials on a wall. They represent a commitment to excellence that Dr. Sean brings into every operatory, every appointment, every day.
What sets Dr. Sean apart isn't just the training, though. It's the way he practices. He genuinely enjoys the challenging cases, the surgical procedures, the cosmetic transformations that require both skill and artistry. His favorite services are veneers, esthetic crown lengthening, extractions, and complex oral surgery, and he's built a practice where patients can come to him for all of it without a referral. His philosophy is simple: you should be able to walk in here, tell him what you need, and leave knowing it was handled right.
Outside the office, Dr. Sean is most at home outdoors. He loves running, physical training, boating, big game and waterfowl hunting, and spending time with his wife and family in the Colorado mountains. He moved to Berthoud because it felt like the right fit, a small town with big character, surrounded by the kind of landscape that makes you want to stay.
