Meet Dr. Sean Adams, Berthoud's newest dental home owner

Berthoud Family Dentistry has been a cornerstone of this community for decades, and it's an honor to be the doctor continuing that legacy. My name is Dr. Sean Adams, and I want to take a moment to introduce myself to the patients who've been coming here for years, as well as the new neighbors who are just discovering us for the first time.

My path to dentistry wasn't exactly a straight line. I grew up in San Diego as the youngest of six kids, spent my college years at Brigham Young University on a Track and Field athletic scholarship, and started my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering before finding my way to a pre-dental track. I earned my dental degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences, where I was awarded a Clinical Excellence Scholarship and the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. After graduation, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Nellis Air Force Base, where I graduated at the top of my class and was recommended for specialty training in both oral surgery and endodontics. I then served as a general dentist for three years in the Air Force before pursuing practice ownership here in Colorado. I bring all of that training and experience to every patient I see, and I genuinely love what I do.

A team that already feels like family

One of the things I'm most proud of at Berthoud Family Dentistry is the team. Our hygienists and front desk staff have been part of this practice for years, many of them long before I arrived, and that continuity is something we work hard to protect. When you come in, you'll be greeted by people who know this community, who remember your name, and who genuinely care about making every visit a good one.

The office itself has a warmth to it that's hard to manufacture. It feels like walking into somewhere familiar, and that's intentional. We've also made sure the little things are taken care of, including a kids play area for our youngest patients and head pillows to keep you comfortable during longer appointments. Our goal is simple: from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you should feel like you belong here.

One of the things that sets Berthoud Family Dentistry apart is how much we're able to handle right here in our office. Most dental practices refer out for the complicated stuff. We don't. From routine cleanings and fillings to complex oral surgery, wisdom tooth extractions, bone grafts, root canals, and cosmetic work like veneers and smile makeovers, we've built a practice where patients can come to us for just about anything and leave knowing it was handled by someone who truly knows their history.

We also offer Invisalign clear aligners for patients looking to straighten their smile discreetly, professional teeth whitening, and a full range of restorative services including crowns, bridges, and dental implant restorations. For patients who've been told they need a bone graft and weren't sure where to turn, we're one of the only practices in the area performing that procedure in-house. We use advanced 3D scanning technology and digital X-rays to make sure Dr. Sean has the complete picture he needs to diagnose accurately and treat confidently. And for patients who are nervous about dental care, we offer nitrous sedation to help you feel relaxed and comfortable from start to finish.
